Take Me Back to [November 2025]

Hawaiian Shirts in the Winter, Cold Weather, and Book Releases

Book release this month!

I’ve been delaying this newsletter because I’m busy getting Hidden Root ready for release! It’s more than that. Creativity has been a much needed escape as I navigate the changes to the season, the way I live, the things that make me feel safe…

In spite of the historic times I live in, I create. I keep on writing and figuring out new stories, thing of what is coming next in the Arch of Humanity. And now that the public is getting their first taste, I’m looking forward to sharing this special place to the world.

Written Works

Mother Revolution

If you have read Mother Revolution, please consider leaving a review on your preferred platform. The more reviews an indie book receives, the better.

Hidden Root

Hidden Root, the first book of the Injured Tapestry Trilogy, comes out November 13th! Click here to preorder your digital copy!

Physical copies of the book should be live by Monday, November 10th. I apologize for the delay, but I am waiting to confirm the proof is good. I should get the proof by the end of this week, and then approve it for print. I’ll send an email once you can order the paperback.

This is later than I wanted to have the preorder ready. Despite all my planning, the proofreading process took much longer than I anticipated. It was a weird situation that shouldn’t repeat again. I’m learning from this experience and looking forward to the next steps.

Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the story of Roc, Keely, and the beginning adventures of the King’s Dagger in Hidden Root.

Book Two of The Injured Tapestry

I’m working on the beta reader copy for the second installment of The Injured Tapestry. I’m using a trusted group of people who are my intended audience for the book. I’ll share more as I get feedback and insight.

Pyre

I told you all previously this would be a short story for my dad for Christmas. Well, my muse got the better of me. Looks like I’ll have to get my dad a good vinyl instead, because this story needs about six more scenes before we get to what I wrote before. Again, this story may not be published publicly, but I figure those of you subscribed to my newsletter may want to know of even the little projects I’m doing for myself.

Who We Were

I’m taking a pause on this project while I work on getting everything ready for Hidden Root. Plan on hearing more about my plans to make this a stand-alone adventure in January.

Podcast Update

Mystic kept the episodes spooky for this past month. Our first October episode was about Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, where I got to mention some of my vampire appreciation. Closer to Halloween, we covered Dead Letter Department, which is the kind of creepy that makes me incredibly anxious. The stream for that was full of me freaking out as I typed strange things.

Speaking of stream, here’s our streaming schedule for November:

Sapphy Shares—What I’m digging right now

I’m keeping it short and sweet this month, because I’m in the middle of three books that I haven’t finished yet. However, one of the artists that has helped me shape my world as I wrote was Florence + The Machine, who released a new album on Halloween called Everybody Scream. My current earworm from the album is Drink Deep. Click here to watch the lyric video. Makes me want to hide in the woods and let the fae heal me. If only life could be so simple.

This song is definitely inspiring a scene or two in the work I’m planning on after The Injured Tapestry. Thank you for inspiring me once again, Florence.

Keep an eye out to Hidden Root!

Thank you for supporting books full of adventure and heart written by… me. 💜
