Even Mud Can Bring Forth Gardens [March 2026]

A slow start to a strange year

Exhaustion distracts, and only rests resets.

This past month has worn me out a lot. Work has been incredibly demanding. The news has been increasingly worrying. Then there are the little things, like learning I need glasses now and mourning family friends who knew me before I was born. Writing this all out now, I’m realizing that February wasn’t a great month to me this year.

But I remain hopeful. The work is not only for a worthy cause, but looking more complete every day. There are plenty of people like me who refuse to let the current news be the status quo in the U.S. And in the midst of all I must do, there are times I also must rest and recover from everything. It delays a lot of the necessary work I do, including things I should’ve done months ago. But I have to remind myself I’m a better author

Smashwords’ “Read an Ebook Week” Sale on Now!

Both Mother Revolution and Hidden Root are 75% off now for the Smashwords week long sale! Take advantage by March 7th to get my books as well as a plethora of others. Click the link here to buy Mother Revolution or Hidden Root through Smashwords.

Pi Day Sale

In addition, my family celebrates Pi Day every year. It’s partly for the excuse to have pie, and partly for an appreciation for understanding the universe through math. This is the second year I’m extending the celebration to my ebook sales!

On March 14th, digital copies of Mother Revolution and Hidden Root will each be 99 cents! If you want to get a copy for yourself or someone else, click here to find Mother Revolution through your preferred ebook seller, and click here to find Hidden Root.

The Injured Tapestry

My beta readers are reading slowly. 🙃

I’m hoping to have four completed surveys to compare before I start editing the next book of The Injured Tapestry in earnest. But I will start editing this spring. The next book will be out by early 2027. I think I need to space things out more to try to get better preorders this time around, and have the physical copy come out the same time as the digital book. Send good vibes to my beta readers so that they have time to read!

Book Reviews

I’m still in need of book reviews across all review platforms! If you have already read Mother Revolution or Hidden Root, please post your review on your preferred space. Any review can help bring more eyes to these stories and, in turn, give you a lot more people to talk to about them. ❤️

TTRPG Projects and News

Who We Were

I’m running my one shot again at GenCon! They’ve been submitted through Green Ronin Publishing under this name. Keep an eye out for them when event registration happens later this spring.

In the meantime, I’ll try to work on the layout for what will be sold through the AGE Creators Alliance. That will take time but I technically have time to do it.

Podcast Update

The Lore Together Instagram Square for Gone Home

Because I updated so late in February, I only have one episode to update on. Gone Home was a sweet, coming-of-age story told from the perspective of the older sister piecing it together. It’s a true walking simulator, and I think in the crazy time I find myself living through now, it’s nice to have a game that’s merely a guided story told in notes and pictures. Now that spring is here, I’m looking to see when it will make sense for me to write another episode.

Below is our streaming schedule for the month of March.

Sapphy Shares—What I’m digging right now

I’m keeping this one short and sweet because this is for a powerhouse of awesome. I’m keeping up with Campaign Four of Critical Role, with Brennan Lee Mulligan as the current Dungeon Master for there main campaign. It’s been great keeping up with this campaign, which I wasn’t able to for the last campaign even though I loved it. Critical Role is on Youtube with ads, so find it there and then see if you like it! Then find me on socials and lets squee about each episode after you watch it!

THANK YOU!

After some rest, look for more updates and ramblings written by… me. 💜
